Our Story
Who We Are
I, Brianne, was born and raised in South Texas, where food has always been the center of family gatherings and celebrations. My husband, Patrick, was born and raised in Austria, where fresh bread, local markets, and traditional recipes are part of everyday life. Together, we’ve combined our backgrounds to create a place where the warmth of Texas hospitality meets the rich baking traditions of Austria.
Before opening The Village Pantry, I earned a Doctor of Athletic Training (Sports Medicine), where I developed a deep appreciation for the role that quality, nourishing foods play in overall health and well-being. That foundation continues to inspire our commitment to offering wholesome, locally sourced foods that help nourish our community.
Our Story
An Idea Was Born
The Village Pantry was born from a simple idea: bringing people together through good food and supporting the incredible farmers in our community.
After meeting Amy Dickinson and learning about her vision for Freeville, we were inspired to help bring a neighborhood market back to the village. The Village Pantry is welcoming place where people can shop for fresh, local goods from nearby farmers and connect with their community.
At The Village Pantry, you’ll find naturally leavened sourdough breads, fresh baked goods, locally raised meats and eggs, seasonal produce, and a carefully curated selection of products from nearby farmers. As we grow, we’re excited to share both Austrian and Texan family recipes alongside new favorites inspired by our community.
Whether you’re stopping in for your weekly loaf of bread, picking up ingredients for dinner, or discovering a new favorite, we’re so grateful to be part of your table!
